Revised HMRC Advisory Fuel Rates In Place From March 2019

The HMRC have issued new AFR rates from 1st March 2019 with key changes noted below:

• Rates are changed slightly from 2018 with decreases in both the Petrol and Diesel rates across all engine sizes.
• Hybrid and Plug-in hybrid company cars will continue to be treated as either petrol or diesel models for mileage reimbursement purposes.
• These rates only apply to employees using a company car, for employees using their own vehicle on company business Approved Mileage Allowance Payment Rates (AMAPs) can be used instead.
• These rates will be in place until the HMRC issue revised rates
