If you own your own business or are a director of a business, you may be able to lease either through your company or trading entity or in your own person. Prices will be displayed as excluding VAT with the assumption being you are VAT registered and able to reclaim this VAT.
If you are eligible for a business lease or a personal lease, there is strictly no right or wrong answer as a number of other factors need to be taken into account to determine what is best for you. We can help provide some of the questions you will need to ask yourself that will establish what lease is best for me. This list of questions to consider can be found here Business or car leasing guide.
Business vehicle leasing can offer greater flexibility than personal leasing but it will be subject to the specific finance company. This flexibility could enable you to add more services to the business car lease agreement and also change specific parameters dependent on how your usage changes over the agreement period. We can advise as part of the credit application process if you have more detailed questions.
Yes. At LetsTalk Leasing, we specialise in leasing our vehicles for a range of purposes, from professional hire to other uses. If you are self-employed, you can select a model from our current range and ensure you can meet clients, attend events, or undertake whatever tasks you need with ease and efficiency.
While we believe in making leasing quick and simple, we do need identification in order to grant you access to a vehicle safely and legally. Our list of required documents includes:
- Your personal details
- Copy of full driver’s licence
- Three years of employment details
- Bank details for the account you plan to use
- Details of your monthly income and expenditure
If, for any reason, you are unable to provide any of these materials, please contact us directly and we will do whatever we can to accommodate you.
Yes. If you choose to lease a car with us, HMRC classes it as part of your income. This will require you to pay company car tax on your vehicle. However, as your vehicle is leased you are not classed as owning it – allowing you to claim your regular lease payments as a business expense.
Yes, however it is important to remember that your deductibles are only valid for official use and not personal use. Of course, your running costs of the car include insurance and tax, and these are deductible expenses under the Corporation Tax.
For many business owners and professionals, leasing a car is much more cost-effective than owning a vehicle for professional use. This enables you to forego issues around depreciation, let you access new models that would otherwise be unavailable, and allow you to reclaim up to 50 per cent of VAT on the contracts. It also allows members of staff to take advantage of models that fit their unique needs and offer the highest degree of comfort, safety, and fuel economy. If you are interested in finding a leasing contract that fits your business needs, please do not hesitate to contact our team and let us know exactly what you need.
